WHAT: In this workshop, students will learn different flips and slides on the hoop to emphasize the dynamic nature of this apparatus. Students will take several commonly known poses and learn different drops and slides out of them in order to add a different flare to these tricks.
PREREQUISITES
Must be able to straddle invert and tuck/pike
invert under the bar with straight legs safely,
easily and without assistance
Prior experience with dynamic movement in
lyra.
Ease with foundational lyra skills.
WHO: Daniel Saab is an aerial performer and coach specializing in hoop and sling, but is well-versed in many different apparatus. At the age of 8, he began his aerial artistry at Independent Lake Camp in Orson, Pennsylvania. 10 years later he began his professional journey in NYC. Daniel has performed in various shows from cabarets at Oz New Orleans and The Slipper Room NYC, to bigger productions at larger-scale venues such as Universal Studios Orlando and Madison Square Garden.
He is currently contracted in Denver with Quixotic Entertainment performing in Sensatia Cabaret. When not performing, he travels around the country and world teaching workshops and private lessons.
