We will warm up our shoulders, core, and condition our various pits before banging them all to hell in this super brutal class. Say goodbye to your skin and hello to some epic new skills. (This workshop may be 15 min longer or shorter depending on the # enrolled and students endurance etc.)
Who: Rikki Morehouse is the founder of SacCirque, a collective of circus and flow artists in the greater Sacramento area. She received her bachelor's degree in graphic design at the Art Institute of California - Sacramento, which fostered a keen eye for aesthetic in movement and circus. Since the birth of SacCirque in 2015, she has been the creative lead, production director and costume designer for all performance shows.Not only does Rikki manage SacCirque, but she is also a talented movement artist with anatural flair for clowning and fire. She has performed across the states and along the westcoasts and specializes in contortion, hand balancing, partner acrobatics, and lyra. She spent 7years training competitive gymnastics, where you can see her dynamic and unique take on lyra, as the uneven bars reimagined. Her longtime yoga practice, gymnastics background, and training under Jean Luc of SDCC has influenced her performance and training style.

Prerequisites: Must be able to do 2 arm inversions of any kind (straddle-up, tuck-up, pike-up) 1-arm hangs with engaged shoulder for 30 seconds, and 30 second wall handstand or 1-minute plank. This workshop will be beneficial for beginner-intermediate aerial artists with strong shoulders. No shoulder injuries. Wear pants and sleeves.
