Beginning Straps Workshop

  • Gravity Aerial Arts (map)

What: This workshop will focus on the fundamental techniques for safe and effective training of aerial straps, though most exercises will greatly increase your power and control on other apparatus.  We will warm up our shoulders and core using a set of exercises designed to pre-habilitate and strengthen the shoulders. The fundamental skills students will cover are 1-arm transitions and positions (meathook, inverted straddle, nutcracker), as well as other more dynamic techniques. (This workshop may be 15 min longer or shorter depending on the # enrolled and students endurance etc.)

Aaron has taught at SF Circus Center, Acrosports, Kinetic Arts Center, Athletic Playground, SF Pole and Dance, as well as at aerial and circus studios across the country.
